  • Interested in exploring Israel while developing your filmmaking skills, networking with fellow young filmmakers, and connecting with Israel's top film industry professionals?
The Onward Israel Jerusalem Film Workshop, in cooperation with Jerusalem Film Workshop and United King Films, is a 6 week program great for creative young filmmakers looking for an opportunity to gain filmmaking skills and explore the land of Israel. Participants will gain comprehensive knowledge of filmmaking and expand their professional network, all while living in Jerusalem and sight-seeing the rest of Israel.
Over the course of 6 weeks, participants will develop and expand their cinematography, editing, screenwriting, and directing skills. They will have the opportunity to create a documentary film while using the tools and equipment we provide. Five groups will be created, and each participant will assume a specific role within the production team (either as director, cinematographer, editor or producer). Each team will create a short documentary, accompanied by guidance from our teachers and mentors.

The program is free for the selected participants.
Included: Board (2 meals a day), lodging, transportation in Israel and program costs.
Participants are responsible for arranging their own flights.

This Onward Israel program is operated through a partnership between the Beacon and Shapira Foundations and other lead philanthropists, The Jewish Agency for Israel, and the Jerusalem Film Workshop.
